Balance

Huge yard work to do. It was my idea to take out the grass so that my husband wouldn't have to mow the lawn. Great idea at the time. Now that I am working a million hours a week on the websites, I find that I am expected to do all the same stuff I did before, plus my job. Nice.

This issue is a factor in marriages all over the country. Right now, with the unemployment rate at an all time high, many women are the sole earners in their homes. I have noticed from other blog postings that it doesn't seem to matter, work is parceled out according to gender and not to load. I am not certain that this is a fair deal.

I am interested in how your family handles the work load. Comment, or blog either here or on my sites listed below. I have a forum at http://www.venturagrapevine.com that addresses this issue.

Invisilign Last Week, or so we thought

I waited for years, I mean YEARS to get my teeth fixed. I had been a victim of the early railroad tracks; after five years and unimaginable damage to my teeth from the bands, my newly straightened teeth were revealed. And they were not straight. And they became less straight as the years progressed. Quite frankly, I think they were worse in the last five years than when I started on this ride in 1977.

So, I bit the bullet, and I started the invisalign braces system last year. Amazing, you can actually see the teeth move because the trays are so effective. I paid around 4k, which is a good price, here in Ventura County. My dentist is Dr. Mansurian, and he rocks. Dr. M is open Monday-Thursday because he teaches at UCLA on Friday.

I have had a total of two rounds, and today I find out if we need to go to three rounds. Why so many? Because I have difficult to rotate crowded teeth. If you are lucky and have gaps, the time frame is much less. Overall I have been very happy with the results. My gums are in much better shape than before the invisaligns, and I find that I am a little more careful about brushing and flossing too. All good.

But, I find myself watching E!, and looking at celebrity teeth. A lot. Boy, some of those famous people sure could use cosmetic dentistry huh. But I long for the perfect white movie star teeth. I wonder how close the dentist can get with round three.
